Important information:
- Students should go directly to Newtown Park to begin the day at 8.45am.
- Attendance is compulsory for all students.
- Please follow our usual attendance procedures if your student is unwell on the day.
- Students should follow the Athletics Carnival timesheet closely and arrive at events on time. This will be shared with students in the coming week. No pre-registration is required. Both competitive and non-competitive events will be held and all students will be awarded house points for their involvement.
- Please ensure that your student arrives at Newtown Park with their sunblock, a sunhat, a warm jacket, a drink bottle, and lunch.
- There will be a fundraising sausage sizzle and ice blocks will be available for purchase on the day (cash only). Please leave valuables at home.
- Students are encouraged to dress up in non-uniform house colours that are comfortable for participation in all events. Costumes should be appropriate for a school event and allow for active participation. Sneakers are recommended.
- Face paint must be applied at home before arrival at Newtown Park as it cannot be brought onsite.
- When students arrive they should sit in their Manaaki classes for a roll check on the central field. Year 9s will be closest to the Zoo end of the field.
- Students will not be permitted to leave Newtown Park before the end of the day.
- Any students with appointments that day must have a note and sign out with the Senior Leadership Team at the gate.
- Our school cell phone policy extends to offsite trips. Students will need to have their phones away for the day. If students are seen with a phone, it will be surrendered, and a house point will be deducted.
- Photos will be taken by our Media Prefects on the day. Students may bring cameras with them.
- Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend, but this event is not open to the general public. Please check in with the Senior Leadership Team on the gates when you arrive to record your name.
- In the event of cancellation due to weather, a decision will be made the day before and communicated to students and families via email and on our school Facebook and Instagram pages.
- If canceled, students should come to school in their Athletics Carnival costumes, and the House Prefects will run an event at lunchtime.
- There will be no school buses.
