WEGC Prize Giving 2023

An email/letter has been sent to all parents

The school Prize Giving is on Wednesday 1 November at 6.30pm, at the Michael Fowler Centre.

Morning Practice - 1 November 2023 – 8.45am – 12.30pm approx.

Attendance is compulsory for all students

Michael Fowler Centre (MFC):

8.00am Orchestra arrive to set up

8:45am Students to be at MFC

10.30am approx. Non-Performers and students not receiving prizes dismissed

12.30pm approx. Performers and prize winners dismissed

Buses:  Metlink are unable to reroute our school buses. Students will need to be at the Michael Fowler Centre by 8.45am where the roll will be taken by their Ako teacher.

If your student is absent please follow the usual procedure and notify our absence line - via email absence@wegc.school.nz, via the App, or 385 8514 ext 848. Students will be dismissed from the practice at approximately 12.30pm, with the expectation that they will return for the Prize Giving in the evening, times are indicated below. There will be no afternoon school buses and students will need to make their own way home.

Evening Event:

Attendance is compulsory for all students

Michael Fowler Centre:

Arrival time

5:00pm Performers arrive

5.45pm Prize winners and performers to be seated

6.00pm All other students to be seated

6:30pm Doors will close

Students are expected to wear formal school uniform for our Prize Giving; white blouse, jersey/vest/cardigan, blazer (if available) and black leather lace up shoes with white socks/black tights.

Students will be seated in the auditorium.  Parents and friends will be seated in the gallery upstairs.
